Trine Søndergaard is contributing to the Summer in the City Exhibition
True to tradition, Martin Asbæk Gallery is again this year presenting the group exhibition Summer in the City, offering a selection of new works by the artists represented by the gallery. This year’s exhibition, which will be the tenth in the series, gives the public insight into the work and profile of the gallery.
Since the gallery was founded in 2005 by Martin Asbæk, there has been a focus on modern Scandiavian and international art by up-and-coming as well as well-established artists. Each of the 23 artists participating in the exhibition stands out with a thoroughly elaborated personal idiom within one of more of the following media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video and embroidery.
This year’s anniversary version of Summer in the City introduces works by among others the artist Aguirre Schwarz, also known under the artist pseudonym Zevs, the Mexican artist Rama King Nash and works by the German artist Markus Oehlen and Danish artist Trine Søndergaard, who both will be presented at the art fair CHART at Charlottenborg in Copenhagen as well at the end of August.
