Experience photo artist Trine Søndergaard in dialogue with professor of Art History Jeanette Kohl, who with her starting point in Søndergaards artistic practice will discuss the limits, challenges and meaning of the portrait. After the talk the museum will serve a glass of wine. The event will be in English.

Trine Søndergaard is a Danish photo artist. Søndergaard lives and works in Copenhagen. Her work is known for its precision and sensitivity, along with an exploration of the media of photography and its limitations.

Jeanette Kohl is a professor in Art History at the University of California Riverside. From 2006 until 2009 she chaired the international academic network “The Power of Faces. The Bust, the Head, and the Body in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.”
